We will remind you in good time of the next inspection date

Did you know that your excavator or wheel loader with an engine power of 18 kW or more must be serviced by law every 2 years and have a current exhaust maintenance sticker? The exhaust maintenance document must also be presentable for every construction machine.

We are happy to support you with this! We are your point of contact for exhaust gas test construction machinery. These can be carried out either in one of our workshops or directly on site at your depot or on one of your construction sites.

Legal requirements for machines on Swiss construction sites:

The Swiss Clean Air Ordinance (LRV) stipulates that construction machinery (with diesel or gasoline engines) must not exceed certain exhaust emission values. These requirements depend on the power and construction year of the machine.

Basically, the following applies: For construction machinery with an engine output of 18 kW or more, an emissions test is required by law every two years. The exhaust gas test checks whether the exhaust gas values comply with the standard and whether the measured emissions are safe for people and the environment.

How does an emissions test work?

  1. Measurement of the exhaust gas values: First, our trained service technicians check the exhaust gas values of your machine using an exhaust gas measuring device.
  2. Diagnosis and rectification: If excessive exhaust emissions are detected, a diagnosis is carried out to identify possible causes for the increased exhaust emissions. These defects are then rectified in consultation with you.
  3. Exhaustgas maintenance sticker and documentation: Once exhaust gas maintenance has been completed, a valid exhaust gas maintenance sticker is affixed to the machine and the exhaust gas maintenance document is filled out.
  4. Automated service request: Your machine is recorded in our system so that we can send you an automatic reminder every 2 years before the last exhaust gas test is due. We will then send you a reminder in good time for the next emissions test.

Where can I obtain the exhaust maintenance document?

Exhaust maintenance documents for construction machinery can be obtained from the Association of the Swiss Construction Machinery Industry (VSBM). We will be happy to do this for you and fill out the document in connection with the successful exhaust maintenance.
