RUBAG celebrates its 120th anniversary!

RUBAG obtains the ISO certifications 2015:9001 (quality management) and 2015:14001 (environmental management).

RUBAG opens its own competence center for environmental technology in Grellingen.

In the 800 m2 workshop, they take care of the provision, repair and overhaul of all water protection systems, fuel containers and hazardous material depots. Grellingen also functions as an important storage hub with 1,000 new pallet spaces and 2,000m2 of storage space.

The RUBAG branch in Inwil is moving to Hellbühl (LU) and is looking forward to a larger property with a spacious workshop.

The start of an important collaboration: RUBAG becomes official sales partner of YANMAR compact equipment.

2016

Entry of Nicolas Sameli (3rd generation) as an important milestone in succession planning. After completing his training and working for several years as a financial auditor at a leading auditing company, he followed the call of his father Lukas J. Sameli.

As a member of the Executive Board, Nicolas Sameli familiarized himself thoroughly with the new subject matter, strengthened the earthmoving division and successfully drove forward the digitalization of the company. Since he joined the company in 2016, RUBAG's order volume and manpower have almost doubled.

Opening of the Tuggen (SZ) branch with sales office and large workshop. The new branch is very successful right from the start.

We had our own website online as early as 1997.

1993

The company moves to new headquarters in Birsfelden (BL). Due to the company's expansion, offices and operations were merged. The new building on Sternenfeldstrasse boasts spacious, bright offices, large workshops and a central spare parts warehouse.

1990

Foundation of the Oberbüren (SG) branch on Bürerweg. Initially, the branch consisted of a sales container plus storage space. Later, we were given the opportunity to acquire the neighboring building with office, workshop and large storage area.

Move to the Birsfelden depot. In the 70s and 80s, construction site trucks, containers, concrete mixers, crane accessories, dumpers and stackers were our core business. Later, the earthmoving sector became increasingly important with the TEREX and SCHAEFF brands.

Lukas J. Sameli takes over all RUBAG shares and restructures the company according to his own ideas.

The company headquarters are located at Hirzbodenweg 87 in Basel.

Lukas J. Sameli (2nd generation) has been at the helm of the company since 1967. He has steered the ship through many an economic crisis with great optimism and a great willingness to invest.

A more modern logo is needed, which forms the basis of our current company logo.

Jacques Sameli, head of finance, takes over the company.

The Basel industrialist Stächelin acquires the entire share capital.

Advertisements from the time.

Transport equipment and dump trucks for concrete, gravel and other building materials are already part of the RUBAG range, as are concrete mixers and double jib cranes - at that time still as self-propelled rolling stock for use on rails.
