What distinguishes the bobbin trailer with tandem axle from the single-axle trailer?

The tandem cable drum trailer is equipped with a hydraulic drive for the loading and unloading device as well as a cable drum rotary drive with a petrol engine. The switching, loading and unloading as well as the rotation of the drum are carried out via hydraulic valves. All components, including the hydraulic unit with motor drive and control valves, are permanently mounted on the front cross member of the trailer. In addition, the drum rotation drive can be controlled via a remote control at the rear right of the trailer.

To protect the motor, there is a cover made of stainless sheet steel that can be folded up. This allows the cable drum trailer to be operated even when the cover is closed.

The payload of the tandem cable trailer is also higher and the permissible total weight is 3.5 tons at a maximum speed of 100 km/h.
