Eberhard purchases 5 more YANMAR mini excavators
RUBAG Baumaschinen is delighted to have received another order from customer Eberhard Bau AG. The five new YANMAR mini excavators were ceremoniously handed over in Oberglatt on March 7.

RUBAG Baumaschinen AG was able to supply Eberhard Bau AG with a high-quality machine package from YANMAR Compact Equipment EMEA (YANMAR) for the second time. Eberhard has been a specialist in civil engineering and demolition for over 65 years.

Five new YANMAR mini excavators have recently been added to the Eberhard Bau AG fleet:
- 2 x YANMAR ViO 38-7 mini excavators
- 3 x YANMAR ViO 57-6B mini excavators
The newly delivered YANMAR excavators are equipped with the latest technology and a high level of comfort. All five mini excavators have additional rear weights, POWERTILT slewing devices, air-conditioned comfort cabins and an extensive set of different grading buckets and backhoes.
They also feature the innovative YANMAR Smart Assist Remote GPS remote monitoring system. This enables real-time collection and analysis of operating information and maintenance data. This allows maintenance schedules to be optimally planned and potential machine faults to be detected at an early stage, helping to maximize machine availability and efficiency.
From family business to family business
The handover ceremony took place on March 7, 2025 at the Eberhard service center in Oberglatt. It was attended by the owner families and the managing directors of RUBAG Baumaschinen AG and Eberhard Unternehmungen.

Confidence in YANMAR compact machines
Back in 2021, YANMAR crawler excavators won over Eberhard Bau AG in an extensive performance comparison. In order to find more robust and environmentally friendly construction machines for their demanding construction sites throughout Switzerland, Eberhard carried out a comprehensive test procedure with compact machines from various manufacturers. The result: YANMAR impressed with its performance and quality, RUBAG with its first-class advice and service.
The five newly acquired mini excavators complement the existing Eberhard fleet of ten YANMAR crawler excavators that RUBAG was already able to supply in 2021. This brings the total number of YANMAR excavators in the Eberhard Bau AG fleet to 15.
